This isn't going to be a full review but I feel that this docudrama deserves a bit of love. This three part documentary/historical drama is about a favorite subject of mine, that being Jack the Ripper. The thing that makes this Ripper documentary so original is it doesn't focus on Jack himself but on the British media, to be precise the East End newspaper that was the source of most of the coverage on the Whitechapel murders, The Star, and the reporter on the story. This show gives you a good idea of the situation was in the East End and how the police weren't even really doing much to solve the killings because the involved "unfortunate women", aka sex workers. Also, it was The Star that hyped the murders to make paper sales and even pushed the idea about the murders being done by a single murder. Also according to the show it was the reporter himself that wrote the infamous Yours Truly Jack the Ripper as well as the From Hell letter that included half of a human liver. The show is ...
