Ok, here is a situation I really want to talk about because when this shit first started I was hurt by it but now I'm thoroughly pissed. As many of you are aware there was produced a fan film adaptation of my novel Friday the 13th: Mother's Day. Well, the filmmakers Cory Stevens got me involved on the film. As Executive Advisor as well as helping him with a few scenes he was having issues with and I even played the voice of Mrs. Voorhees in the film. Well because the cyber stalkers were giving Cory shit about my involvement in the film he not only cut all communication with me but he recut the film and cut out everything I was involved in, including all my voiceovers. You have an extremely rare instance of having the author's complete blessing and authorization and you, as well as his friendship, piss all over that because a bunch of bullies say boo. Excuse me? Then because I put out the original "authorized" cut out Cory had it taken down. He also took down the Russian dub of the original cut that had my special introduction I did for it. So, let's get this straight you stab the author in the back not once but three times because you are too much of a wimp to support the man who supported and helped you and gave you his blessing. How really white of you buddy. What a fantastic fan are you of my work. But what else can I expect since I recall that when I abandoned the Friday the 13th: Mother's Day Film thread on Bloody Disgusting because a shit load of the members of the messageboard started attacking the film, the cast, and myself. I ended up leaving because it got extremely out of hand and immature, but now I know that is normal for Bloody Disgusting. Shit, the harassment didn't end after I left the thread. Members of Bloody Disgusting backed my My Space deleted all my content on there and put up Bloody Disgusting banners all over my profile. This also led to me suffering 10 years of harassment by the Morse Bashers which was created by those same Bloody Disgusting members. Yet, Cory after the thread in incident went on Bloody Disgusting and apologized to those same members saying "William was being way too sensitive about the whole thing..." Excuse me these assholes were insulting not only Cory's film but also my writing. They called me a no talent hack. Who should be apologizing for ruining F13. I actually ended up hearing about this bullshit from a friend that went on the thread to see what was going on. I forced myself to go on there to check myself and was disgusted about how Cory threw me under the bus to get points with a bunch of immature fucktards on BD. Amusingly, I didn't confront Cory about this and continued to support his production, because I have class and am a real professional.
I'm not trying to be an ass, if it was my mentor Harlan it would definitely be the opposite. I'm just trying to say that in this age when so many authors are assholes and would have their hand out for pay, when you have one that honestly supports you you don't turn on them and sell them out to the enemy. That is unforgivable and a complete dick move. Lecture over.
