Welcome to the first day of Artists in Horror Month 2024...
Artists in Horror Recognition Month was created in 2012 in the belief that appreciation of people in horror should not be based on gender, race, or position. No single group should be put on a pedestal, we all deserve appreciation and recognition. The horror community has been fractured for a long time and needs to be brought together. This is not done with grand gestures that in some cases bloat egos and ferments us vs them attitudes. We have people walking out on the horror scene because of a “we are better than you” attitude that is prevailing and acting like a cancer in our community. Flame wars are tearing people apart and getting out of control. Groups and cliques are destroying artists and sabotaging projects. People are not getting the promotion they need because horror magazines and websites refuse to promote artists or review them and only promote their drinking buddies or whoever is willing to pay. Our community is in a sorry state and needs something positive. Therefore for Artists in Horror Recognition Month we are asking for a simple gesture; one that is more personal and will mean more to the recipient…
An artist in horror is anyone who does anything in horror; be they a super star or a fan fiction writer, or a seamstress. They are all artists and part of the horror community. This is not about who is most popular, who has the biggest ego, or who has the most friends, it’s about who needs and deserves appreciation, and that is everyone…
Since its inception Artists in Horror Month has been slowly changing the attitude in horror. In the last couple of years horror films have been honored with Oscars and our community has started to garner some long due respect. But we have a long way to go. So, rise up and spread love and appreciation throughout the horror community.
To participate in March simply either email, IM, or post on your Facebook wall to as many people as you want a simple message:
It’s Artists in Horror Recognition Month 2024, PUT NAME OF RECIPIENT HERE, and I appreciate you.
All Artists in Horror deserve appreciation and recognition. Please do the same for someone else in horror. I think they would appreciate it too…
That is it. No huge bells and whistles, just simple appreciation and recognition.

Can you believe this shit. As most of you know I've been doing film reviews on my inherited Blogger site, Horror Bob's Blog, for the last couple of weeks. My psychologist suggested I do something I really enjoy as therapy and to help bring me up. So, I've been watching films, doing reviews, and posting them on my social media.
Well, this evening fucking AI on Facebook sent me a couple notices stating because the idiot computer program detected that I've been innocently posting links on my Facebook profiles and groups to my individual reviews that I was posting suspicious links even though I clearly put "Check out my new review" on each one and they showed the movie posters on them. Facebook is now accusing me of spamming and threatening to block me from posting for two weeks. This is outrageous. I've done nothing wrong except post my honest opinions on films, which I have done for nearly 30 years. Give me a break!!!
