(For Tomorrow)
RISE UP! LOVE AND APPRECIATION IS THE ANSWER!

Artists in Horror Recognition Month was created in the belief that appreciation of people in horror should not be based on gender, race, or position. No single group should be put on a pedestal, we all deserve appreciation and recognition. Before this event was started the horror community had been fractured for a long time and needed to be brought together. This could not be done with grand gestures that in some cases would bloat egos and ferment us vs them attitudes. For years we had people walking out on the horror scene because of a “we are better than you” attitude that was prevailing and acting like a cancer in our community. Flame wars were tearing people apart and getting out of control. Groups and cliques were destroying artists and sabotaging projects. This community had been in a sorry state and there is still work to do. Artists are still not getting the promotion they need because horror magazines and websites refuse to promote artists or review them and only promote their drinking buddies, or those who share their political or radical social beliefs, or simply whoever is willing to pay. Our community is still mot were it should be and still needs something positive. Therefore for Artists in Horror Recognition Month, we are asking for a simple gesture; one that is more personal and will mean more to the recipient…
An artist in horror is anyone who does anything in horror; be they a superstar or a fan fiction writer, or a seamstress. They are all artists and part of the horror community. This is not about who is most popular, who has the biggest ego, or who has the most friends, or people’s gender or orientation or race, it’s about who needs and deserves appreciation, and that is everyone…
Since its inception Artists in Horror Month has been slowly changing the attitude in horror. In the last few of years horror films have been honored with Oscars and our community has started to garner some long due respect. But we have a long way to go. So, rise up and spread love and appreciation throughout the horror community.

To participate in March simply either email, IM, or post on your Facebook wall to as many people as you want a simple message:

It’s Artists in Horror Recognition Month, PUT NAME OF RECIPIENT HERE, and I appreciate you.
All Artists in Horror deserve appreciation and recognition. Please do the same for someone else in horror. I think they would appreciate it too…

That is it. No huge bells and whistles, just simple appreciation and recognition.

For those of you who want to get the full Artists in Horror Month experience what you have to do is send out ten appreciation letters a day. After a short time, you’ll run out of “the usual suspects” and you’ll have to look around for people, that is when it really becomes special and meaningful because most of these people will be people who are ignored and don’t get any appreciation or recognition and you will be the one to brighten their day and give them some. Think about that…..

Ok, here is a situation I really want to talk about because when this shit first started I was hurt by it but now I'm thoroughly pissed. As many of you are aware there was produced a fan film adaptation of my novel Friday the 13th: Mother's Day. Well, the filmmakers Cory Stevens got me involved on the film. As Executive Advisor as well as helping him with a few scenes he was having issues with and I even played the voice of Mrs. Voorhees in the film. Well because the cyber stalkers were giving Cory shit about my involvement in the film he not only cut all communication with me but he recut the film and cut out everything I was involved in, including all my voiceovers. You have an extremely rare instance of having the author's complete blessing and authorization and you, as well as his friendship, piss all over that because a bunch of bullies say boo. Excuse me? Then because I put out the original "authorized" cut out Cory had it taken down. He also took down the Russian dub of the ...

Here is my new shirt I got from Temu. What you think. I think it's awesome...
