Any fans of the anthology series Tales From the Void? I just discovered this series on Tubi. I really like the fact that the host talks to the Creepy Pasta authors whose stories are being adapted. But also I'm a bit saddened because I know if I had taken the Creepy Pasta route for my stories after The Camp Crystal Lake novels I would be purposely ignored for consideration for this anthology. My friend Boo Rhodes and some of my author friends would be considered.
The reason for this is because after I wrote my series the horror media, conventions, and websites treated me as an unwelcome outsider for no good reason. I never acted egotistical and only wanted to be treated like my fellow authors yet all these horror organizations tried to pull the narrative that I was trying to act like I was Stephen King or one of the 1 percent. All I wanted was to have opportunities to promote my work and feel like part of this community. There answer to this was "to put me in my place and to shut up and ...
